Havana Brown Cat: Facts & Trivia

The Havana Brown is result of breeding chocolate Siamese and black domestic shorthairs. The result is a beautiful brown coat, which has been described as having the same color as a fine Cuban cigar, with piercing green eyes.

Havana Brown Appearance: 

Havana Brown cats are medium sized cats weighing 6-10 pounds (2.7-4.5 kg). They have lithe bodies,rounded ears that tilt forward slightly and brown whiskers that match their coat. Their fur isshort and reddish brown. 

Havana Brown cats have a slightly longer head than wide, which forms a round muzzle. This gives the Havana Brown a very distinctive profile.

Havana Brown cats have a lifespan of  12-15 years.

Havana Brown Temperament: 

Havana Brown cats are moderately active, intelligent cats who vocalize their opinions in soft sweet voice. They may sit on your lap, but they prefer to ride around on your shoulders as you are doing chores around the house. Oddly they love to play with and groom their owners’ hair.

These cats play well with kids, dogs and happily greet strangers. They are also known to use their paws to express themselves, even extending them softly as a sign of friendship
